I want to start off by saying this is going to be a long review because when I look for reviews I want the good the bad and the ugly, especially when spending $$ on remodeling a home. We interviewed 7 contractors for our remodel. This was our first remodel, and I'm indecisive and my husband is OCD so we needed a contractor that wasn't going to nickle and dime us if I wanted to change something minor, or if my husband wanted something redone because the light switch isn't perfectly level. Joe (the owner) was the only one who told us that he doesn't charge for those types of things, if his men are already in our house working, minor changes here and there wont be an issue, it was music to my ears!! We are on week 9 of our renovation and only have about 3 weeks left and I can honestly say this has been way more pleasurable than I ever expected. What we had done: Gutted the entire master bathroom, rearranged plumbing, new windows, new vanity/mirrors/flooring/walls.Removed & replaced all baseboards and molding (1900sq ft)Added 40 recessed lighting with dimmersAdded 4 barn doors Gutted guest bathroom and re-tiled the shower, shower pan and floor. Replaced vanity.Painted the entire interiorPainted the entire exteriorAdded a fence on both sides of houseRemodeled driveway from 1 car to 2 car.We first started out by just wanting to do the master bathroom, painting the house and the driveway. But a few weeks in we kept adding things to the list of things we wanted to get done because things were/are going so seamlessly!!!Out of the 7 contractors we interviewed, Joe was the most honest with what things were going to cost, he was also the most up front AND the most attentive to us when we would text/call him with questions before we signed. The communication with Joe is almost instant! He wasn't the cheapest, and he wasn't the most expensive out of the 7, but I can guarantee we would not have been as happy as we are if we went with someone else. His workers Biv and Simon are so hard working and ALWAYS show up on time, 6 days a week, week after week. I have heard HORROR stories from friends, family and coworkers saying what was suppose to take 2 months ended up taking 4-5 because the workers did not show up on a regular schedule. This is not the case with Joe's guys. It's been 9 weeks and they have only taken 2 days off because there were emergencies at other jobs. And he always let us know the night before so there was no guessing if they were coming or not. In the 9 weeks there have only been a few minor hiccups, some on our end some on theirs but when I say minor, I mean MINOR! Our faucets weren't level, I told Joe, they were fixed that same day. Joe is always on our side and does whatever we want, to keep a smile on our faces. He checks in with us almost every single day via texts and calls. We talk about daily jobs the workers will do, and also what to expect for the coming week.

We lived with a substandard kitchen for years, knowing that a major remodel would be a huge disruption. There was a concrete retaining wall to demolish, a supporting wall to remove, new joists to install, 3 new walls to build, all new plumbing and electric including an electric meter upgrade with new subpanel, floor pavers to match, and more -- on a site with limited access. We took several bids and settled on California Skyline Remodeling because owner/contractor Joe Bechor seemed to understand the level of work that would be required. Once we got through a difficult design/permit process, the actual remodel took a little over 4 months as the scope expanded to include an adjacent room, exterior porch renovation and a new central heating/ac system. We were pleased with the final result. Most of the remodel was handled by the talented, hard-working and considerate in-house crew. The subs used for electric and HVAC were also skilled and knowledgeable. Based on their high quality work and attention to detail, I recommend this company for your remodeling project, no matter how complex.

I interviewed several contractors that i had found on Angie's List and although I'm sure they could all have done the bathroom remodel, Joe gave me the best quote and seemed to know exactly what I wanted. He brought his team over and after talking to them, I could tell that each one was competent. He assigned a foreman for the job, and they did not stop working until the job was done. He beat his own estimate of when the job would be completed and that estimate was shorter that the other contractors. Because of his attention to detail and making sure at every step that I was satisfied, I gave him two other larger jobs that I had been postponing because I wasn't sure of a contractor. Again, he gave me a very clear contact and fast timetable . The master bath remodel/room addition and the outdoor room were not simple projects. The master bath footprint was on two different levels which needed to be on one level. The ceiling had to be torn out and a new foundation had to be attached to the existing foundation. The City of Los Angeles came up with some unexpected requirements which added expense to the project , but they didn't skip a beat and did what the Inspector wanted.The room addition was also complicated in that we were tying a substantial outdoor room to an existing family room which was constructed in the sixties with different seismic regulations. Again, nothing kept the California Skyline team from finishing on time. They were creative and knowledgeable about every facet of the work. Joe and his Foreman Viviano were always on the job checking every detail. One morning I looked out of my kitchen window and saw the entire team inspecting my driveway in a line. I went out to see what they were doing (thinking he was going torecommend a new driveway) and found out that he had found a nail on the ground and made everyone search to make sure there were no others.I wrote this review because in this day and age, it is hard to find someone who under promises and over delivers.

California Skyline Remodeling Inc. is one of the most professional contracting companies I have come across. Me and my sister were looking to remodel our bathroom and our kitchen and were having trouble finding a company that we trusted with all of our business. We had heard about this company from a friend of ours and they just had endless nice things to say about Joe B. and everyone he works with. What was great about California Skyline was that the estimation on the remodeling was completely free and Joe was very prompt when showing up to our house. He had a display of different products that we could use and they were all on a program he used digitally so we could see exactly what the end product would look like. It was great having the imagined design right in front of you, it made us feel that much more secure. We decided to sign with California Skyline Remodeling and we don't regret it at all! The work was pristine and always done in a prompt and professional manner. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get anything done to their property, because like they said they do everything from the beginning of the driveway to the tippy top of the house. I had Joe give my husband and I a quote on completely remodeling the kitchen and a bathroom. We were offered a variety of reasonable financing plans. We were planning g to completely remodel the house, inside and out, for our "golden years". Joe was on time for the quote, which was very reasonable. He was very professional. He came prepared with plenty of samples for tiles, cabinets, paint, flooring, etc. We used his computerized design program to get a virtual image of our design ideas. We changed our decision on our original ideas when we saw how the products worked together in the visual image. We were very satisfied with the finished product. Skyline maintained the timeliness they committed to on the contract. Joe was available throughout the construction process. Needless to say, we contracted with Skyline for the remainder of the work we wanted on the house. We added a patio enclosure with a redwood deck, landscaping, a room addition for 300 sq ft, master bathroom, tile roof, vinyl, double- paned sliding doors, windows, 6 kilo solar panels sharp 240watt 25 panels on the south side of the roof, pavers for the driveway and walkways and we topped it off with crown moulding! We hadn't done much over the years with the kids in school. Once again, we got a great quote, timely, quality service, and a beautiful finished product. I was very impressed with our final meetings with Joe, during which he ensured that all of our needs were addressed and our satisfaction was complete.I would highly recommend Skyline Remodeling to any of my friends and family.
